Hey D’Anne, When I first started this assignment, I wasn’t really sure at all where to start. Since it was an academic essay, I didn’t really know, what assumption were academic because all the ones we discussed in class were a bunch of silly things, like woman cant drive or all Indians are smart. Then as I started to think, I came upon the assumption of Muslims and decided to stick with it, because I knew I could find plenty of evidence on it. After writing the thesis, I decided to make it more specific and include background information. After writing my first two drafts, I realized that I didn’t have a lot of things to make my paper strong. There was a lack of quote sandwiches, in paragraph citations, and concrete examples. I had all the sources; I just never properly cited them in my paper. So the first thing I did was to make sure all of the information was cited. Then I started working paragraph by paragraph to make it sounds better. In the intro I tried to create an image of how the stereotype started. Then I added my thesis at the
