Stat 133 Autumn 2007 NAME Allison Heck Homework #10 (10 points) GROUP #___________ Due Thursday Nov. 29 (at or before the beginning of recitation) NOTE: HW 10 is NOT for extra credit . It gives you the opportunity for one more homework assignment so that you can drop your lowest homework score (whichever one that might be.) We keep your best 9 homework scores, whether or not you turn in homework 10. You are not penalized for not turning in homework 10. Your total homework score in this class is still out of 90 points, as stated on the syllabus. A large investment firm wants to review the distribution of ages of its stockbrokers. The firm believes this information can be useful in developing plans to recruit new brokers. The ages (in years) of a random sample of 20 brokers from this firm are 46, 28, 51, 34, 29, 40, 38, 33, 41, 52, 53, 40, 50, 33, 36, 41, 25, 38, 37, 41. Use Excel to make the calculations and graphs necessary to do the problems below. 1. Make a relative frequency histogram of brokers’ ages and copy-paste it into the area below. (Follow directions posted on Carmen or in your Excel How To Guide.)
