Since   ending   of   cold   war,   become   common   for   Americans   to  recognize tht there was antipathy to Bolshivekism; but nt wrong b/c  an evil system; in fact, we may nt have done enough to overthrow  the system III. The Great war and the Russian Revolutions of 1917 a. Russia in the 1 st  war 1914-1917: Russia with Italy, Greece, France  vs. German forces b. Great deal of war fought on territory of Czarist land; bloody war for  c. Revolution of Feb/March 1917: problems fr 1 st  world war contribute  to downfall of autocratic [?] government -Russian   Revolution   cartoon:   collapse   of   Czarist   autocracy;  overthrown imperial Russian govt; German Kaiser Wilhelm saying  tht Russian revolution a threat to German autocracy to officer as  they look at Russian revolution - American interpretation threat because ppl may look at it and get    the idea to overthrow German autocracy too; Americans want the    Russian revolution to radicalize and then spread to Germany; why?    Bc socialist state cnt survive on its own; needs an ally; need large    production pwr       d.   Russians are now more weary; more ready to fight the Germany b/   e.
