What is this course about? This class is an introduction to financial economics. We will cover the tools and theory necessary to understand the forces that underlie investment decisions and asset pricing. In section I will try to review the material presented in class and focus on the practical side of financial economics. We will study asset classes and financial instruments, the return-risk trade off, optimal portfolio choice, index models, and so on. This is a hard class, so it is important that you communicate with me what you think we should focus on in section, I am here to help you better understand what the professor is teaching.
