Kit Chow HWS 333 Fall 2009 Eating Disorders For this paper, we were informed to write our gut feeling on eating disorders . The presentation covers a lot of materials related to the causes and types of eating disorders . It was extremely informative on how the modern media world impacts our eating habits as well . Based on definition provided, eating disorders occur once a person experiences severe disturbances in eating behavior, such as an acute reduction of food intake or extreme overeating, and feelings or excessive distress or concern about body weight or shape . ” Personally, I can easily relate to this topic because I had eating disorders when I was a kid . However, I was not diagnosed and sadly found out about that after puberty is over . There are many causes for eating disorders . A person with a low self-esteem tends to eat less . Depression and anxiety problems can also change the eating habit of a person .
