In addition to exploiting the synergies between its internalresources and external forces, the way Amazon has leveraged technology as a source ofcompetitive advantage and reaped the benefits of economies of scale has spawned numerouscompetitors who seek to mimic and enhance its business model.Mission Statement, Objectives and Business ModelThe mission and vision of Amazon is: “To be earth's most customer-centric company; tobuild a place where people can come to find and discover anything they might want to buyonline.” Some objectives that they have throughout their company is the satisfaction ofcustomers - existing and new, developing new acquisitions, international markets, and partneringwith companies. Amazons business model comes with many different parts. The main one is thefact that the company sells goods directly. Via Amazon's digital marketplace with a limiteddiscount, a proportion of items is sold to customers and stock is stored in the company's largewarehouse network.
