Continuing Undergraduate Scholarships 2010-2011 GUIDELINES Apply on-line through TritonLink Available mid-December 2009 Due: February 22, 2010 11:30 PM Recipients & non-recipients notified by email June 2010 Questions: scholarships@ucsd.edu (858) 534-1067 Undergraduate Scholarship Program Scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis, selected by the Faculty Committee on Undergraduate Scholarships and Honors. Although every effort is made to present the most accurate and up-to-date information, the information contained herein is subject to change due to federal, state, and university funding limitations or changes in policy and procedure. Who is Eligible? X 2009-2010 UCSD undergraduates, enrolled full-time in 2010-2011 X U.S. citizen/permanent resident (except for the Lima Scholarship) X GPA: 3.6+ for merit awards, 3.0+ for all other awards X Completed less than 15 quarters of college attendance X Preference given to non-Regents, non- Jacobs scholars X For financial need awards, students should file a FAFSA by March 2, 2010. (And submit additional requested financial aid documents by May 1, 2010.) X If you check boxes, for which you do not meet the stated criteria, your application will NOT be considered. X One scholarship awarded per student . How Do I Submit the Application? Log on http://tritonlink.ucsd.edu Under “Tools” on left sidebar, click “Financial Aid.” Enter User ID/PID and Password/PAC Click the button under “Continuing Undergraduate Scholarship Application” Follow step-by-step instructions Must complete resume, essay, and required supplemental essay. Exception: If applying for Erion Scholarship only - can enter “NONE” in appropriate sections. Changes can be made any time before February 22 deadline. What Does This Application Do? With this ONE application you will automatically be considered for: X ALL Merit awards X ALL Financial Need awards (if a financial aid recipient) X ALL Restricted awards for which you checked the appropriate box

On-Line Application X Part I & II: Student Information (Required) Include degree, career plans (start with noun, not e.g., “I plan to…”), grade level in 2010-11, plans for next year enrollment, etc. Must be an undergraduate to receive an award. X Part III: Restricted Scholarships Part III is a list of scholarships. Only apply for those scholarships for which you meet the criteria. If students select scholarships for which they do not meet the stated criteria, their application will NOT be considered . Scholarships marked with an asterisk (*) require additional information. A pop-up box will be provided under the scholarship description for this information - up to 3,000 words (includes spaces). X
