Steven Dooley October 13, 2009 Jimi Hendrix Jimi Hendrix was born Johnny Allen Hendrix on November 27, 1942. Hendrix has two brothers, Leon and Joseph, and two sisters, Pamela and Kathy. At the age of three, Joseph was given up to state care for physical difficulties. Along with Joseph, both of Jimi’s sister’s were given up at an early age for care and later adoption; Pamela had lesser physical difficulties and Kathy was born blind. This guitar replaced the broomstick he had to originally play the air guitar on. After getting in trouble with the law two times for riding in stolen cars, Hendrix was given the choice to spend two years in jail, or enlist in the Army.
