Steven Dooley December 1, 2009 Survey of Rock Music John D. Hale Band The John D. Hale Band is made up of the members; John D. Hale (lead vocals, electric guitar, acoustic guitar), Mason Watkins (lead guitar), Cody Phillips (bass guitar), and Chris Brotherton (drums, vocals). The venue the concert I went to was at a bar in Zalma, Missouri called The Rustic Lodge. It is not a very big bar and will hold no more than two hundred people. The date I saw the John D. Hale Band play was October 10 th 2009. I love going to see John D. Hale and his band play. I have grown up around Country music and listened to it all my life, and that is the kind of music they play. The music started around 9:30pm and lasted until around 1:00am. Depending on where the concert is (I.e. bar, concert hall, etc.) the band may play all of the songs on both of their albums, plus a couple of new ones. This equals out to roughly thirty-five to forty-five songs. However, since the concert was at a small bar they only played about thirty songs with breaks in between each song. I
