This argument could work in the opposite direction showing that during the 1960s the increase in STDs led to an increase in sexual education as to counteract this development, not necessarily the other way around. 4. This argument that TV watching caused low test scores is only one aspect of this argument. There could be an underlying cause, such as failing education systems around the country that would lead to low college admissions test scores. Also, the TV watchers could have been watching educational television only, which in most cases would not lead to lower test scores or at least would not agree with the argument presented. 6. This argument is very ignorant to other underlying effects that could lead to death. If the average man is sleeping only 4 hours a night there is most likely something else wrong ether biologically or psychologically that could be contributing to the deterioration of their body. Also, sleep seems to be an insignificant cause of death because there are millions of other factors that have been proven to be more effective and are most likely the underlying effect mentioned earlier. 8. This argument seems to be coincidental, the structures and aspects of the ear may have been characteristics of several patients, but there are numerous other factors that have been proven to be more effective. There has to be a more underlying cause of the heart attacks for these patients, such as heart disease, age, or activity level that contribute more to the heart attack than the structural aspects of the ear. Exercise 9.2: 2. The dissimilarities between confrontation and poker are numerous. In poker you can run a bluff and millions of people would not die, cause your opponent to start an all out war that affects millions more or in the sense of just one-on
