In the construction of the paper airplanes several factors were taken into consideration ; these included age of the participant, time of completion, overall appearance of the airplane , and the performance of the airplane verses that of the other planes constructed . During the study of the participant’s completion of the airplane , it was seen that many of the factors above were related . In order to study the factors mentioned above , the manual outlining the construction of the paper plane was printed out and presented to the test subjects , along with a sheet of computer paper and a pair of scissors . The participants were then told to complete the airplane without any further instructions . In order to test for the time of completion of the airplane , once the participants were told to begin and all of the supplies had been provided , a stopwatch was used to time them until their plane was ready to fly. The appearance of the plane was then judged
