Jawed A. Mirzai ACIP 380-02 Dr. Jeff Hunter December 11, 2009 Assignment 5: Ethical Issues In order to survive and have a prosperous life, one should work hard to achieve his/her goals. Therefore, most of us work very hard early in our lives to make the most money in least amount of time. However, depending on the types of jobs and responsibilities we face a situation where we have to choose between our profit and the customers. For example, financial advisers can face real dilemmas when trying to do the right thing. Similarly, I witnessed a situation at my internship site where a financial adviser, John, was meeting a client, Rosi, for the first time to analyze her financial goals and needs. Since I was the one who made the appointment I had to be present at the meeting and observe the whole process. While it was a good learning experience, I noticed the possibility of an ethical issue that could rise from financial advisers' recommendations. The situation was that John recommended many unnecessary policies to the client in
