Mark Mulvaney Jon Zawacki Intro To Criminal Justice Intelligence is a vital part of a conviction of any person involved in a crime. But gathering the information is where it gets a little tricky. Gathering the intelligence is a broad area and wondering if you have enough intelligence to obtain a warrant based on the information you have. I believe that the police agencies should be used as an extension to the United States intelligence agencies because it would do more good if anything else. Having the local and state police agencies extending their knowledge and experience would have a greater impact on some of the bigger cities such as New York, Los Angeles and Miami because of the greater risk of a terrorism attack in such a large area. Having the national intelligence agencies covering the whole country, and protecting it from terrorism, is a bit hard because they cannot get out onto the streets on an everyday basis, whereas the police can be out and patrolling on a twenty-four hour
