ELECTRONIC PRESCRIBING RISK MANAGEMENT PLAN (RMP) Introduction The objective is to provide additional functionality and value to the current Electronic  Medical Record (EMR) system.  By connecting the current EMR solution to the SureScripts  electronic prescribing network, the organization would provide customers with access to the  largest electronic prescribing network in the nation.  SureScripts connects physicians with  pharmacies and facilitates the secure, reliable transmission and delivery of electronic prescription  orders and refill authorization requests.  With SureScripts as the backbone electronic prescribing  software, it can provide  true  electronic connectivity between physician practices and pharmacies — no more “partial solutions” that result in a printed prescription at the doctor’s office or a fax at  the local pharmacy. The purpose of this document is to foresee any associated project risks, to estimate the  effectiveness of the project, and to create response plans to mitigate any/all project related risks.  All of the necessary project risk information and strategies will be defined to provide the  stakeholders with the information to accept, avoid, mitigate, or transfer any/all project related  risks.  The data gathered on this project originated from past vendor client feedback, internal  vendor known issues documentation, and testing.
