ECE 211 Fall 2009 Circuit Analysis I Project 2 (due Wed, Oct-14, at the beginning of lecture) Objectives To learn more about MATLAB and also to compute values to compare to Virtual Lab results. Required Output For each problem, submit a printout of the .m file, with comments to indicate the problem and part (a, b, c). Also submit a printout of the command window after running your .m file, with answers boxed and labeled. P3. Consider the following circuit: Find the Thevenin equivalent circuit as seen at terminals a - b , as follows. (a) Write a node equation at V when the terminals are left open. Use MATLAB to compute the open- circuit voltage between a and b . This is oc V . (b) Write a node equation at V when the terminals are shorted. Use MATLAB to compute the short circuit current between a and b . This is sc I . (c) Use MATLAB to compute sc oc th / I V R = . In other words, you should not spend any time simplifying your expressions for V in parts (a) and (b). Rather, you should use MATLAB to compute V for you.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
