The point particle system.
Reading: Sections 8.48.5. You may find it interesting to read the optional Sections 8.68.7 on friction.
Instructions
This assignment is a
tutorial
on the material in Chapter 8, to prepare you to do analyses of this kind on
your own in later homework and tests. For that reason you have three submissions for each answer box
(not just each question). In other words, you can submit just the first answer box up to three times and get
feedback each time, then submit the second answer box up to three times, etc.
The first problem is broken down into very small steps to help you get started. The second problem
requires taking some of these steps yourself. In the third problem you need to take most of the steps on
your own.
