Change Management Competency Competency is ability to do something successful or efficiently. Every organization must have do change management to survive in current era. Managers who have competency skills, knowledge and other attributes can able to make a change and ability to manage change in their organization effectively and efficiently. Changes in organization are very important to improve growth of organization to make their employees more efficient in their work with advance in technology changes which can lead the organization toward success. The organization will be successful when they apply change management competency on each and every project they doing to. Its make the better and improve their ability to do their best. Also its become a competitive differentiator. There is four modal can be use in organization to do change management competency which is Mc Ber Competency Model, the Buchanan-Boddy Change Manager Competency model, the CMI change Manager Master Level- Competency model and Images of Change and Key Competency.

The McBer Competency Model 1. Interpersonal skills. Interpersonal skills are about the ability of person to communicate well with other people. Nowadays, communication skills are very important to interact and attract other people in organization. Every employee must improve these skills to survive in organization. 2. Diagnostic skills. Diagnostic skills refer to an individual’s ability to identify a particular problem and define it. For example, As a HR manager they should collect the important information about candidates through interviews, surveys and observations. These skills can be improved through the proper training and practices. 3. Initiation skills. The initiation skills is a powerful skills which need a leadership skills at same time. The person who able to manage group and the ability to solve the problem, set a goal and planning to improve organizational performance.
