CATALOG DESCRIPTION: A topical survey of cultures of the world: past and present. This course is designed to acquaint the beginning student with anthropology and its various sub-fields. It will examine the background of several cultures at different levels of development that are now undergoing the difficult process of combining their traditional ways of life with rapid changes imposed upon them by the modern world.
