1 LABORATORY INVERTEBRATE CLASSIFICATION OBJECTIVE In this exercise you will have an opportunity to see some of the invertebrates we have been talking about in class. GRADING 1-3 wrong = check 3.5 or more wrong = check minus PROCEDURE With a lab partner and USING YOUR NOTES, answer the following questions associated with the displays that are either set up around the room and referred to in the textbook. Hand in your lab before you leave. Videos. Watch the videos shown by Ms. Floyd and answer any questions here. (You do not need to write down the question itself, just the answer.) Specimen #1. Sponge. In which phylum is this organism classified?. What type of symmetry does this organism have? How many embryonic tissue layers does this organism have? Does this organism have a coelom? If so, what type? What type of gut does this organism have? Identify #1.
