Jacob Zipperstein Three volunteer programs Child Abuse Prevention Center is a program that trains volunteers how to reduce abuse and the neglect of children in the Bay Area. While being a volunteer their, you work with county social workers and provide support services to children in foster homes or at a risk of losing their homes. The volunteers can choose to do a range of work, including supervising visits from family members, transporting students to and from their various appointments, mentoring and tutoring, and group childcare. I am interested in this volunteer program, because I feel, and have always felt, that it is significantly important to look after the generation behind us. This program would allow me to make sure that children are getting the care and attention that is vital in order to grow up and be a mature adult. I enjoy the idea of volunteer work, because it is important to give back to the community that has allowed me to succeed as a young adult. It is my duty to care for the less fortunate children, just like older generations
