One of the interesting results of studying women’s history is that periods that are sometimes considered important or progressive from the point of view of men’s history are considered regressive or negative from the point of view of women’s history. The opposite is often also true. In two periods listed below, explain why women’s history considers these periods differently from the ways suggested by men’s history. BE SPECIFIC AND use as many examples as you can remember (of actual people and events) to demonstrate your points.
