S UMMARY In this experiment, it is aimed to investigate the preparation of solutions having different concentrations. And for this experiment, we use different chemicals for different types of solutions. We have three parts in this experiment. The first part of the experiment, we prepare a solution of known molarity. First, we weighed the samples on a balance for accuracy desired. After that, this samples are dissolved with about half of the distilled water. Then, they are transferred to a volumetric flask or graduated cylinder through a funnel. Finally, flask is filled with distilled water to the desired level to have the known molarity solution. The second part of this experiment is preparing dilution of solution. We measured the desired volume of the stock solution with graduated soution.Then, we transferred this solution to a volumetric flask. We filled the flask distiiled water until the desired level. And after that, we reached the requierd molarity of solution. The third part of the experiment is preparing concentration of solution. Again we used the stock solution to obtain concentrated solution. And we calculate and weigh the amount of the solute which is needed to reached desired level. This amount of solute is enough to have requiered molarity of solution. Then, we transfered it to volumetric flask with stock solution and dissolved the solute in it by mixing gently. After dissolution of the solute, it is filled the remaining half of the flask with distilled water.
