Why Do I want to be Vice President of Policy? Because I have a vision. As a financial engineer, I take the SEAS courses, I talk the SEAS talk and I live the SEAS life. As one of the best engineering schools in the nation, we have so many opportunities, from a myriad of classes taught by world-renowned professors, almost limitless resources in our libraries and professors, and a great team of advisors and mentors to support us every step along the engineering college experience. But I see areas of our life that just scream out for change. I want to make it happen. Freshman and Sophomore year, my friends always like to play this unhealthy game: who can actually use up their meal plans? No one really won this game. As VP Policy, I will work with administrators and dining services to strive to add our beloved Ferris Booth, 212, and of course JJs to the list of options that counts as “one swipe.” If I want a juicy chicken burrito at Ferris for 7.50, why shouldn’t I be able to use one of my 115 John Jay swipes, which average out to 14
