Tri-hybrid crosses homework Below is data from a three point cross with flies. Females that are phenotypically wildtype but heterozygous for each of three different recessive mutations [white eyes (w), crossveinless wings (cv) and singed bristles (sn)] were crossed to homozygous males with white eyes, crossveinless wings and singed bristles. The progeny consist of: Wild-type 386 Singed Bristles 38 Crossveinless 3 White eyes 56 Crossveinless & Singed Bristles 46 White eyes & Singed Bristles 2 White eyes & Crossveinless 39 White & Singed & Crossveinless 430 questions were: which were “parental genotypes” and “what is marker order” First I like to list the genes w cv sn in the abbrev format - looking at words is confusing to me because I am slightly dyslexic I think. Realize the ORDER is unknown!!! 2
