Grader Comments Homework 2 None of your models in questions 1 or 2 are *linear programming* models (-15) I understand that you are proficient in using Mathcad, and would like to use it for this class. This is not a problem as long as you define the right models, and then use Mathcad as a linear programming solver if possible (instead of Excel). However, the models you defined for questions 1 & 2 are *not* LP models. For question 1, you define g(p1 , p2) := f ? (p1×d + p2×a) h(p1 , p2) := (p1×d + p2×a) ? f and then attempt to find a solution to the system (g(p1 , p2) + h(p1 , p2)) = 0 g(p1 , p2) >= 0 h(p1 , p2) >= 0 using the MinErr function. Even though I don't know how to use Mathcad, I Googled it and found the following page: http://www.Mathcad.com/support/item/02may_id.as , where Minerr is defined as "... To solve for a set of unknowns which satisfy a set of equations and inequalities (Find, Minerr)" " Minerr finds the solution which minimizes the sum of squared error even if it does not fall within the specified tolerance; therefore, it will always return a solution. Find and Minerr will return the same answer for a system with an exact solution."
