Worldview is not only how we viewthe world but is also how we how we look at the different elements of God or Christianity fromour point of view. The starting point for our world-story, then, is within God’s creational designwhich should extend to all sectors of personal and social life. This essay will explain thefundamentals and introduce the components that describe the Christian worldview looked attoday. The essay will address the Christian worldview by explaining aspects such as God,humanity, Jesus, restoration, analysis, and reflection. GodWhat is God Like? Our Godis just and merciful, jealous, loving, kind, forgiving, but also vindictive andvengeful, also a god of love and compassion. There is only one God; God exists as the trinity.Father, Son and Holy Spirit. “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” (Gen.1:1, ESV). “Characterized by justice, love, faithfulness, and joy” (Lubeck, 2010 pg.45), “Thebiblical testimony is that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are responsible for everything that wascreated” (Schreiner, 2013).
What are God’s Characteristics?God is eternal, unchanging, loving, forgiving, omnipresent. “For his invisible attributes,namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived…” (Rom.1:20, ESV).God is the sovereign creator and “…in creating the world Yahweh shows his sovereignty over allother powers and Gods” (Schreiner, 2013). Christians believe that there is only one God;however, there is the trinity, which is the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This is necessary for theChristian worldview to believe in the trinity, and Paul makes it clear there are no other Gods,everything in existence was made by God the Father and the Son.What is His Creation?God is the creator of all things, but he is distinct from his creation; he is a personal Godand cares for what he created and it is idolatrous to worship creation or anything created likepeople or idols (Diffey, 2013). His creation is amazing, God created light, the heavens, waters,dry land, created the sun and the moon, fish and the birds, created the animals of the land andhumans (Genesis 1:1-31, ESV).
