INDV101 ‘Language’, Fall 2007, Errata list for the Winkler text The following is a list of typographical errors in the Winkler textbook. Please mark your book with the corrections so that you don’t get confused! Winkler gives the literal gloss as ‘how deep’, but Christopher says “I think the expression started as a way of saying ’are you in the trend?’ like, ‘are you tuned in the same station like I am?’ Just like the radios waves.” Chapter 4 Note: Winkler’s chapter is titled ‘Phonetics’, it covers both ‘Phonetics’ and ‘Phonology’ as we’ll discuss them in class. the backwards lower-case ‘e’ should be replaced by ‘
