Trophy friends- Whites segragate. Hetero s associate with heteros. Language used to discuss discrimination and subordination. The language makes privilge invisible. Intersectionality can help reveal privilege. Looking for the operation of p in our classrooms. How Language Veils the Existence of Systems of Privilege pg 50 We use wo thinking Boy? Girl? We don’t know how to relate to people wo gender. World is gendered. World is racists. We catagorized when speaking of other than white. Leeds to sterotypes Tunnel with different arrows, white/color seem neutral but not Afro am, latin am, Gender not neutral, male/female. Couple skating , man partner with a women. Husband/wife is a heterosexual discriminating term. Privilege =Economic wealth
