ECE420 Homework #10 20 points 1. Using the fastest Max5064, which has four LABs, implement both the logic function F and a 2-bit sequencer that sequences according to the control input K: K= 0: sequence order 0, 1, 2, 3, and repeat = 1: sequence order 0, 3, 2, 1, and repeat F (A,B,C,D) = A B + A C + B C + A C D + A B C D A. Show three distinct implementations of F and one implementation of the 2-bit sequencer. Use the I/O pins for inputs and output. i.e. Do not use the dedicated input pins for the inputs. B. For each of the three implementations of F, calculate the longest delay from the input to the output. C. Calculate the maximum frequency of the global clock for the sequencer. 2. Assume that F(A,B,C,D,E) has been simplified to ten product terms.

Unformatted text preview: A. If F(A,B,C,D,E) is to be implemented with the fastest Max5000, which implementation will give the least delay. Calculate the least delay. B. If F(A,B,C,D,E) is to be implemented with the fastest Max7000, which implementation will give the least delay. Calculate the least delay. Material to be submitted : 1. For Max5064, the equations used in the three implementations of F. 2. The equations used in the implementation of the sequencer. 3. Circuit diagrams of the programmed Max 5064. You may use the Max5000 diagram on the Max5000 data sheet. 4. For Max5064, calculations of the delay for the three implementation of F and the maximum clock frequency for the sequencer....

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
