Fiber Research 2 There are several nutritional aspects of a diet that are valuable to how well-balanced a person’s body is. There are some factors which aid in the digestion process. Digestion is essential to the body otherwise food will not be broken down enough to give the body nourishment. Fiber is something that is essential to the digestion process. Fiber plays an important role in the digestion process for several reasons. According to Healthline, fiber is a substance that is found in plants (2005-2009). Dietary fiber is found in foods such as meats, vegetables, and grains (Healthline, 2005-2009). Dietary fiber has functions such as making a person feel full more quickly, which aids in managing weight. Fiber also aids in digestions problems such as constipation.
