An adequate amount of vitamins and minerals are essential for a balanced and healthy body. Can food alone give a person the vitamins and minerals needed in order to get the recommended daily amount? Multivitamins are sometimes taken to substitute for the lack of vitamins and minerals that one does not get from their diet alone. In this paper, several vitamins and minerals, along with multivitamins will be reviewed to see if healthy levels are attained daily. A review will also be on whether too much consumption of certain vitamins can be toxic. Although certain recommendations are made for a person where vitamins are concerned,, the consumption of food is not always going to ensure the recommendations are met. After researching the vitamins mentioned in Chapter 8 Section 2 of The Vitamins versus the label of my multivitamin Women’s One Daily (Dollar General Brand), the following comparisons were
