WK 7 DQ#1 due day 2 Read Ch. 13-15 in Psychology: An Introduction (12 th ed.). Discussion Question 1 Due Date: Day 2 [post to the Main forum] Post your response to the following: Think about two aspects of your life that you have strong attitudes towards, one negative and one positive. When do you believe these attitudes were formed? Why? How can you work to change negative attitudes in your life? I have two positive aspects in my life that I feel strongly about: honesty and hypocrisy. As far as honesty, I am a true believer in being honest no matter what. I tend to speak what I feel and that often does not sit well with others. I always teach my kids to tell the truth whether good or bad, because lies will get you nowhere. To me honesty is the foundation of a person’s life. It is so important in a relationship, whether it be a personal, friendship, or work relationship. I think that an honest person may be disliked for telling a truth that does not want to be heard, but a dishonest person is not only disliked, they are not trusted. Secondly, hypocrisy is another aspect I feel strongly about and it goes hand-in-hand with honesty. I refuse to deal with hypocrisy in my daily life, because it is a waste of valuable time. I do not like to be hypocrite and refuse to do it; therefore, if I do not like a person or a person does not like me I do not even attempt to make peace. Why should I waste my time dealing with a hypocrite, I feel that If a person does not like me then they do not even need to say hello to me. To me that is a
