Thesis Statement: More and more immigrants are coming in to the United States each year, and we as a nation should really evaluate our immigration policies.

The amount of illegal immigrants that come into the United States each year is staggering, and the numbers just keep on increasing. Three million illegal immigrants come into the United States every year. This has been an increasing problem and one that greatly affects the United States and its citizens. Immigration has been responsible for religious changes, cultural change and population growth throughout the History of the United States. The political, economic, and social aspects of immigration has created much controversy in regards to religion, ethnicity, job growth / job security, economic benefits, where people live, impact on upward social growth, amount of criminal activity, moral values, and work habits. As of 2006, the United States has allowed more illegal immigrants to become permanent residents, more than any other country in the world. There has been much controversy on how this problem should be dealt with. And lots of different opinions on how and what we should do at the border and with immigrants already living in the United States and how this has impacted our economy. These are a few of the reforms that President Bush has proposed to slow down the amount of immigrants that come into the United States each year.
