I) Objectives: In this experiment, we will study the electric field and potential patterns in the electrodes. II) Procedure and Analysis: 1) Electric Dipole: -Procedure: Draw two small circles with the distance of 20cm on the graphite paper. Paint the circle with the conductive pen. Press two pins on the position of the two circles, and make sure the ink is still wet. Connect the DMM, and then use the LPS for accurate voltage and make sure the supply output to 16V. Connect the LPS with the two pins and check if the screen still reads 16V. Trace with a pencil the isopotentials for 4V,6V, 8V, 10V, 11V, 12V, and 14V. Observe and analyze what happened. -Observation and Analysis: When we paint a conductive line along the 6V isopotential line, the result doesn’t change significantly.
