Nolan Dickson Grandma Jones Theology 2 26 January 2010 Night Overall this book was very well written at some points it was disturbing. These points can be elucidated with a few samples from the book. I feel that Elie is showing an immense amount of courage by communicating his thoughts through this book and even writing down all of the atrocious things that he saw and experienced takes incalculable courage. This book showed me how I am lucky to live as a free person. The interesting part of Night was that even though it was a disturbing story it kept me reading because I felt like I couldn’t leave Elie and Chlomo; I had to know what was going to happen to them. This book made me feel like I was a character and that I was right there experiencing the terrible things that went on. Elie did a great job with descriptions of the landscape and the conditions he was in at the time. He also made me feel his emotions, when his father died I was heartbroken and at the end of the story when the camp was liberated I was relieved
