Used when well defined stratigraphy is not visible. Quicker and easier way to excavate. Secondary context (where site has been disturbed) ii. Natural/Cultural Levels – Excavate by Stratigraphy, Harris Matrix (Edward Harris) reporting stratigraphic rela- tionships. iii. Natural or cultural deposits. Treat each deposit as separate. Each deposit examined separately. Preferred method.
