John Panaro Jamie Wintz/SLS1501 April 15, 2008 Reflection Paper: Remember the Titans Remember The Titans is a movie based on a true story about an African American football coach hired at a Virginia school in the segregated times of the early 1970’s. Coach Boone replaces the very honorable and respected coach Yoast, as head coach in their first season as an integrated team. The town’s people are livid about the team’s new modification as is previous head coach (Yoast) considering he is now working beneath Coach Boone. The coaches and teammate’s feelings of each other begin to change after enduring coach Boones very intense yet life altering football camp, where the players were forced to learn things about each other and find that they are not so different. The movie portrays a story of true friendship, segregation, and an indescribable passion for the sport of football. The team goes through a very touching and adaptation to the new ways of Coach Boone and integration. This movie will change ones view on segregation and racism as
