Talal Aldahhas ENG 101 Mrs. Borrenpohl September 21, 2009 Studying in the United States “Goodbye my love” was the last words I could say to my family in King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia before leaving to the United States of America to live my dream of studying bachelor degree in business there. When I looked at their eyes that were tearing I couldn’t say anything else but that. At the time, I knew as much as I know now that my new path especially overseas would be full of struggle, problems, and issues. Throughout life there may be many struggles, but if you keep in mind the rewards that will come in the future, it will be an easier process to experience. My first struggle was finding out how I could get support and scholarship when I finally decided that I want to go overseas to study. I looked everywhere to get an academic scholarship. I applied for nine scholarships including scholarships from oil companies, government, and nonprofit organizations. However, I thought that the door of getting an academic scholarship has closed because all my applications were denied so, I felt horrible and stayed home for long time. While waiting a got a call from the ministry
