See the rectification effects of diode in a circuit. Part 1: Diode characterization Simulate and build the test circuit below, with a small resistor (~10 ohms). This small resistance represents the series resistance that would occur in a PN junction. Make sure the diode direction is correct. The goal is to obtain the I-O curve of this diode. To do so, vary the input voltage and record the current through the diode and the voltage across the diode (use the table below). Record the data to three places after the decimal point. It is preferable not to use an ammeter in the physical circuit to measure the current. Measure the current indirectly by using the voltage across the resistor. In your report explain why we dont want to use an ammeter to measure the current....
