Why One Should Not Smoke Kyle Lee Mon May 1 st , 2006 Many people smoke, but they do not realize the consequences of smoking. Smokers become more stressed as they smoke. Also, they get serious health problems, and some of them die because of smoking. Even more dangerously, smoking can be more harmful for non-smokers through second-hand smoking. One should not smoke because one will be more stressed, get health problems, and harm non-smokers around him or her. Many people smoke because they think smoking makes them less stressed. However, smoking does not keep one from being stressed. Actually, it is opposite in reality. As one smokes more and more, one’s body and mind become more dependent on smoking. In other words, he or she becomes physically and psychologically longing for it. Smokers never satisfy no matter how much they smoke. That means, they will feel relieved right after smoking, but a little while after, they will want it again. As this cycle goes on, they will not only get stressed but also
