CS6803 Information Security Management Copyright 2009 Page 3 Course Objectives To learn to view information security from a management perspective (government or corporate) To understand the management processes needed to support information security To learn to view information security from a broad systems perspective To learn how security can be integrated into a systems engineering process To complete the requirements for the NSTISSI 4011 (Information Security Professional)  Certification, in conjunction with CS392-3/CS681-2 and CS background courses or equivalent To complete the requirements for the NSTISSI 4013 (Information Systems Administrator)  Certification in conjunction with CS 996 (Penetration Testing) and other CS background courses  or equivalent To complete the requirements for the CNSS 4016 (National Training Standard for Information  Assurance Risk Analysts) Certification in conjunction with CS 996 (Penetration Testing) and other  CS background courses or equivalent To gain experience working on a team for project organization, systems engineering,  presentations, and report writing in a generalized design process similar to many formal  government and corporate design processes audio
