Concert Report I The concert that I’ve chosen to visit was located at Stony Brook University, Staller Center named “Composer’s concert”. The Recital Hall was where the concert took place. It was an average sized auditorium, and could hold about five hundred people. The auditorium was about half filled with people of different ages and races. Most of the public was dressed up casually. The stage was not spacious and was built very near to the sitting area, so the interaction between performers and audience would be closer. It caused the audience to participate better during and after each piece was presented. I was not sure what to expect from the concert at the beginning. The aura was calm and exciting at the same time. The concert was consisting of six different portions. Each one was different yet unique. “Rising Waters” was the first piece presented to the audience. Two females, dressed up in black outfits came on the stage where the piano was standing. They were singing a composition with two breaks in it. One of them had lower pitch then the other; one was alto and the other soprano. Although at some
