Jake Venditto 9/20/09 Mr. Chow Cliché Project Cliché : If you chase two rabbits, both will escape Hypothesis : If you chase two rabbits at the same time, then both of them will escape. Method Subjects and equipment: 9 healthy rabbits 1 wide open field 1 fairly athletic subject (the experimenter) Procedure: Step 1- one rabbit is placed in a wide open field exactly 20 feet from the subject. The subject chases the rabbit and attempts to catch it before it escapes into the woods. This same procedure is repeated two more times, with rest time in between trials in order to ensure the subject is at his full potential. Step 2 -Then two rabbits are placed in the same field and exactly 20 feet from the subject. The subject chases both the rabbits attempting to catch them both, at the same time. This same procedure is repeated two more time as well, with rest time in between trials. Design: Independent variable: the number of rabbits being chased
