M3305 Study Guide for Exam 1 Class, the exam will consist of 50 multiple choice questions based on content for chapter 1-7 The exam will be closed notes/closed book and you will need to bring a pencil. The level of difficulty will require you to understand and remember: important definitions/concepts we’ve covered in class thus far, as well as distinguish them from each other. We will use the text as our guide post. So, discussions from article readings, discussion on Hershey, or supplementary material is really there to help us accomplish our learning objectives 3-5, whereas this exam helps us accomplish the first two learning objectives: (1) learning the language of marketing and, (2) understanding marketing’s philosophies, logic, and major decision areas. If I list a term below – like “exchange” or “morality and business ethics” you should find these in the text. Then, understand what I want you is: what the term(s) mean, what the term(s) do not mean, be able to identify them and recognize examples of them in a business context, and know their main sub-parts, etc. For the example above, know what “pre-conventional morality,” “conventional morality,” mean.
