Left side of heart- Receives blood from lungs, sends blood to body. Upper chambers are atria (sing. atrium) Lower chambers are ventricles Pre-test True or False? The pulmonary artery carries DEOXYGENATED blood away from the heart to the lungs, pulmonary veins carry OXYGENATED blood from the lungs to the heart
