The main reasons that I have identified are due to the overflowing population of the immigrants that are migrating to America for the work that is available by that time. The rapid growth that was happening in the land caused the labor to be available, the opportunities to enable them to work had begun to go down with time and therefore they were taking a lot of the available jobs. The second reason why, there was expansion was also due to the fact that the immigrants were willing to work for very low wages on any work that they are given to handle. American was producing more and more goods both agricultural and industrial goods and that could be marketed in their home market. The other reason is that they felt that they would earn more marketability when they expand overseas and trading. The expansion took the oversea level was also a measure for the level of greatness in the world level Americans felt they were in a position to offer the services and the goods that are needed including the innovative ideas.2.What were the origins and goals of the “new feminism”?The new feminism is stated to have begun in the nineteenth century and was brought up by many different factors. In that particular era, the women we the group which was entitled to little to no rights. The women in the 19thcentury were treated as house wives and they were given some responsibilities that are like cooking, cleaning and even reproducing children. The women in the community were not given the right to have their own income, they were not allowed to sign contracts and even vote for the people they wish to see in power. The new feminism movement was brought up mainly due to the existingdifferences between the men and the women in the community. Their goal was to allow the women to have equal rights and they were fighting to allow them to express themselves as other do. Their goal also extended to showing and building the apartment house that was to free women from all the contains that they are taken through while at home. It also attacked for some of the traditional rules that are used in sexual behaviors and hence aimed at giving women their freedom.
