The course will explore issues of gender representation, sexual ideology, and the construction of race and racial ideology with specific emphasis on Middle Eastern in American media. Readings: Available On line http://opac.library.csupomona.edu/search/p?SEARCH=abyaneh GRADING : Grading is based on assignments, quizzes, class attendance and participation and a final book review or film review. Students are responsible for the completion of all reading assignments, class lectures and films. Book/film Review: There will be a final project. The final project can be either a book review or reviews of two films with regard to gender, ethnicity and class.
