Week 1 Pre-Lab 2. For this procedure if two ionic compounds are placed into a solution the properties of solubility would be effective. To mix small amounts of different solutions, test tubes can be used. Since it is a qualitative analysis, only a small amount of a reagent needs to be used. This can be conducted in an aqueous solution. 1. Na 2 CO 3(aq) +Mg Cl 2(aq) 2NaCl (aq) + MgCO 3(s) 2. 2Na 3 PO 4(aq) +3Ca Cl 2(aq) 6NaCl (aq) + Ca 3 (PO 4 ) 2(s) 3. The 6M was more effective than the 1M. HCl is harmful to consume so it cant be used on a regular basis. Since the HCl was effective, acidic drinks and foods should be effective. The celery tea we used wasnt very effective but lemon juice is because of the citric acid. 3. The celery tea can be consumed by drinking. None of the other choices can be consumed. More acidic drinks could help treat the kidney stone....
