(2) Tephra is when deposits of pyroclastic grains regardless of size, erupt from a volcano. (3) Ignimbrite happens when a sheet of tuff is formed from a pyroclastic flow. (4) Lahars are wet debris flows that can rush down channels at high speeds and travel kilometers from the volcano. b.) Pyroclastic flow are purely hot, while lahar is a mix of water, rain, and melting snow and are known for traveling at much higher speeds then a pyroclastic flow. c) A volcanic eruption would affect average temperature by releasing gases into the air and in some cases may even block out the sun with ash causing temperatures to rise. 2) a) The difference between relative age and numerical age is that relative age uses another event to specify the age, but with numerical age uses years. b) (1)
