Background General Rommeland his Afrika Korps were in Northern Africa and allied with Italy They pushed the British out of their area, and were pressing onto Egypt and Libya, but although the British were not in control in these places, they still tried to defend their territory Then the British asked the U.S to help invade and overtake Northern Africa from Rommel. Operation Torch was put into effect to gain complete control of Northern Africa from French Morocco to Tunisia. In doing this, Rommel and his Afrika Korps would be trapped.

When and Where? Lasted November 8th to 11th, 1942. Allied invasion took place in French North Africa (Algeria).

Where? The British and U.S forces attacked France in three different locations: Casablanca, Oran, and algiers.
